My friend Ben Thompson was turning 30 this year and to celebrate we took another tour through our state. We headed out of Phoenix through Globe and over to Safford to hit the Old Highway 666 (Highway 191). It was intense! As a dirt rider first, I crave turns and dynamic riding, this delivered. I couldn’t believe that every corner was an opportunity to really dig in and scrape through. Because i do not own a bike yet I rented a Harley Heritage for this ride and was very pleased. It was a lot less weight than the Street Glide on the last ride and made it easier to handle. Ben invited some other friends Brinton Colburn, Mike Rudder, Chris Epperson, and his brother Brett Thompson. What a crew! It’s amazing when you meet new people through riding. Even though we hadn’t talked much before after getting off the bike we all had the best laughs and conversations. I’m glad i was able to meet these friends and enjoy celebrating Ben’s 30th birthday.
